Kill Zombie has a few things stacked against it, it’s foreign and it has subtitles. Normally this is a death nail for a film but Kill Zombie is different because Kill Zombie is good, in fact it is very good!
Set in a Amsterdam during a Zombie apocalypse the film centres around Aziz and his quest to rescue the girl from the office to whom he has taken a shine. Aziz is joined by a group of unlikely companions who’s only real interest is to… survive and from there on the chaos commences.
Starting out with a level of seriousness the film soon develops into a silly but very entertaining zombie fest with some brilliant comedy moments, leading up to a laugh out loud every minute experience. We particular liked the Street Fighter health meter moment of craziness that in any other film would have just been tacky and out of place.
Despite being Dutch and in sub-titles the film still managed to deliver and only goes to show that not all Dutch films involve butt plugs. The thing about Kill Zombie is that you could go your whole life without knowing that this film even existed let alone that it is really good and that would be your loss. Our advice is look it out and get it watched!
A true and undeniable golden nugget.
