Hitler riding a T-rex? It can only mean Iron Sky 2 is on it’s way

Back in 2012 a little known film called Iron Sky was released without too much fan fare. Little did we know what a cracking little film it would turn out to be (and you can read our review of it here).

Today it was announced that we are going to be lucky enough to see the sequel in 2018.

Titled Iron Sky: The Coming race, the synopsis reads:

“20 years ago Earth was ruined in a nuclear apocalypse. What’s left of humanity is trapped on the Moon – which is now falling apart as well. Mankind’s only hope is to send a small team into the Center of the Earth to retrieve the mythical Holy Grail. All that stands in their way is an ancient race of reptilian humanoids and an army of dinosaurs. How hard could it be?”

 

So sending a small team of people to the center of the earth to retrieve the mythical holy grail sounds like a hoot just on it’s own.  There’s plenty of places they can go with this.  Could we see King Arthur and Sir Gawain protecting the Holy grail only to have Hitler come down on his T-rex to come down and devour them all?

It’s not like we’ve not seen other bat-shit crazy films out there so in the realms of possibility anything can happen with this film.

Thankfully we only have until February to wait and that can’t come soon enough.
